Make sure that you're eligible
In order to be eligible for your learner's in Melbourne you must ensure that you fit the following criteria:
- you're 16 years of age or older
- have a Victorian residential address
- meet the evidence of identity requirements
- be medically fit to drive
- not be disqualified from obtaining your learner's licence
- pay the appropriate fees
How to Prepare for the test
It's important to give respect to the learner's permit test and prepare yourself beforehand. There are many resources available online to help you prepare for it to ensure that you pass, including The Road to Solo Driving Handbook and online practice tests. Make sure you use them. They are there for a reason!
Taking the test
There are a number of different ways that you can take the learner's test in Melbourne, including online or in person. This all has to be done through the Victorian Transport Resources. If you require an interpreter, you will need to do so in person as the online version is currently on available in English.
